What can I expect during my general appointments?
A general appointment (from month three (3)) will be comprised of a Blood Test, Blood Pressure and Heart Rate Test, BMI Examination and a full Ultrasound Examination. If you start your appointments at your first (1st) month, your general appointment will be comprised of a Blood Test, Blood Pressure and Heart Rate Test, BMI Examination and a Lifestyle Consultation. The appointment of your second (2) month will be comprised of a Blood Test, Blood Pressure and Heart Rate Test, BMI Examination and an optional Pelvic Exam.
When do my ultrasounds begin?
Ultrasound exams begin on the third (3rd) month of pregnancy. During these exams, you will be given information detailing the internal and external development of your baby/babies. You will also be given information regarding what you can expect of your body during each month of your pregnancy.

When are Lamaze Classes held?
Generally, Lamaze classes are held on Sundays at 6 p.m. EST at the G.B.M.C. Lamaze Center.
How does the Baby Shower event work?
The Baby Shower usually takes place around your seventh (7th) or eight (8th) month of pregnancy. Around your sixth (6th) month of pregnancy, Dr. Chino will set a day and time with you when you can view the baby shower room options. When you have made a choice, the following information will be taken from you:
How does the Christening event work?
The Christening usually takes place two (2) to three (3) RL weeks after you deliver your baby. At this time, you will be contacted by Dr. JChino to set a day and time to meet in order for you to view the G.B.M.C. Cathedral, where the Christening will be held. When this is done, the following information will be taken from you:
Can I go into labour at any time?
While we understand that some women would like a free labour, meaning that they go into labour and contact the doctor when it happens, we would not want you to go into labour at a time when the doctor is not available, or otherwise engaged. Therefore, deliveries will be planned, as per your general appointment schedule day and time, or on a day and time that works for both you and the doctor.
What can I expect on my delivery day?
According to your package, at month eight (8), a you will be given a Birth Plan Form to fill out. This form allows you to choose what birth method and other additions you wish to use while at the birth suite. Questions regarding this form can be asked at the appointment of your eight month (8).
On the day of delivery, you will be invited to - or you may enter - the G.B.M.C. Birth Suite about ten (10) minutes before your scheduled time. The doctor will guide you accordingly upon entry. Please note that you will be instructed when it is time to invite your guests. The doctor will also guide you through your labour and delivery process. All animated births are AP. Also, for those clients whose packages include a "Preparation for Parenthood Workshop", the labour and birth process will be explained in further detail so that you are informed in time for the big day.

This appointment takes place about two (2) RL weeks after you deliver. This appointment comprises of a physical exam and a general consultation.

- Check your weight and blood pressure.
- Check your abdomen for any signs of tenderness
- Check your incision if you had a C-Section.
- Examine your breasts for any signs of lumps, tenderness, redness, and cracked nipples or abnormal discharge.
- Inspect your external genitalia, including your perineum. If you had an episiotomy, she'll check to see that it's healed.
- Order lab tests, if necessary. If you were anemic during pregnancy or lost a lot of blood at delivery, for example, she'll order a blood test to check for anemia.
- Order any immunizations you may need, such as a tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis booster shot, a flu shot, or a rubella or chicken pox vaccine.
